Memories

Many of my memories have been lost through the years
Trying to recall them only brings tears
My childhood is mostly gone
In my mind they were all so wrong
Searching for them I get confused
I feel I was once wrongfully used
Being alone makes me afraid
My mistakes I admit I made
All I wanted was to be loved
Into a corner I would get shoved
The laughs and smiles were far apart
The deep wounds are still in my heart
Each day things come to me
About my life who holds the key?
Sometimes I do get blue
For most of my life I have no clue
I have a good life now
To makeup for what I missed
It helps get though lost memories
